XYZ RGB unveils 0.01 second Full Body 3D Scanner

XYZ RGB Inc. has unveiled the world’s first 3D Body Scanner capable of acquiring a full 360 degree body scan in only 0.01 seconds. This revolutionary scanning system is fully portable and capable of capturing dynamic postures previously not possible such as: a sneeze, an uncooperative animal, or a knockout punch with greater accuracy, resolution and color than ever before.

The reason for this new development was quite simple: the longer it takes to acquire a complete scan of a live subject the greater and more frequent the errors which are introduced. Live subjects inevitably move so when you consider that other 3D body scanning systems require their subjects remain motionless for periods of 17 - 90+ seconds to acquire even the simplest of Angel poses then you can easily understand their short comings and limitations.

To help roll out this new technology across the entire market, XYZ is also planning on opening its first US based service bureau in Los Angeles in early 2008.

XYZ RGB Develops On-line 3D Scanning Solution
XYZ RGB has developed a new online 3D scanning solution that allows anyone with access to a digital camera the ability to generate high-fidelity 3D scan data results from a pair of photographs. The digital images are uploaded via XYZ RGB’s website, where they are automatically processed into a high density 3D mesh that can then be downloaded by the client. We expect the demand for this type of service to be very high.
